If you are looking for a happy story with a happy ending, you need to go elsewhere. "Mourning's Song" is filled with tension, action and death.
So, is it any good? Holy, freaking cow - YES. Mr. Doyle certainly knows how to hold my attention. I recommend "Mourning's Song" to any and all interested in mutants, superheroes and fighting/action-scenes. There are no rose-colored glasses to make life beautiful. But in all its harshness Mourning's Song manages to leave the reader with a tiny ray of hope.

I loved this book and I want another one ASAP. It was dark fiction/sci fi with superheroes. How much more fun can one book hold?
Weird but interesting concept for sci-fi Herod. An easy read and one with an interesting plot and very good ending.
I loved this book and want another one. It was impossible for me to put down. The characters were intriguing and unique. The possibilities of future books makes me want to yell at the author to hurry!!
I found it to be very entertaining. If you like sci-fi then you should enjoy this book. If there is a sequel, I will buy it.
FAST PACE AND ENGAGING PLOT. Doyle is able to capture the pain and suffering people have to live through in a very real way and make you feel it. I began to care for the characters and what happened to them and for me, that makes all the difference in whether a tale is satisfying or not. Overall, the mood is dark but at the end of the book, the good guys have prevailed. Doyle has left the door open for a sequel and I am looking forward to it.
